Description
No. 10 Church Street is a 19th-century house that is part of a row of buildings on either side. It features a painted brick exterior and a slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The house has two windows that are sashed with segmental arches and late 19th-century glazing. The shop front has been altered in the late 19th century, with end consoles, side panelled pilasters, windows that include arched lights, and a corner cast iron pillar. There is a central door. This building is listed as Grade II for its group value with nearby structures. Nos. 10 to 13, along with their railings and wall, form a group with Nos. 14 to 16 and are associated with the Priory Church, including the gates to the churchyard, a sundial, and the boundary walls to the churchyard and the Garden of Remembrance.
