Description
The Lodge to Littledown House is a picturesque cottage built around 1880. It features a ground floor and a semi-attic, constructed from dark red brick with scarlet tile-hanging. The building has an asymmetrical L-shape, with half-hipped gables facing the road and drive, and a lean-to hipped porch at the angle. There are hipped dormers as well. A hipped canted bay is present on the ground floor, and all windows are casements with diamond lattice glazing on the ground floor. The door is adorned with large iron hinges. The eaves cornice is made of dropped bricks, and the tile-hanging and roof display alternating bands of scalloped and ordinary tiles. A rectangular chimney is located on the ridge, and there is a flat-roofed addition to the south-west.
