Description

The tomb of Admiral J E Wallcott MP, who died in 1868, is located in the churchyard of St James's Church. This high Victorian Gothic altar tomb is made of stone and is positioned to the south-east of the church. It features pink granite colonnettes with foliage capitals at the corners. The sides of the tomb are adorned with quatrefoil medallions, which include inset white marble inscription panels.
