Description
63, 63A, 65, and 65A on High Street are early 19th-century buildings with a stucco facade and wide eaves, topped by a slate roof. They stand two stories tall and feature three windows on the second floor, including a central blank space, and two bay windows on the first floor. All windows are sashes with late 19th-century glazing. There is a painted sign board for fish, game, and poultry dealers mounted on an iron bracket on the first and second floors. The ground floor has modern shop fronts. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 55, 55A, 55B, 57, 57A, 57B, 59, 61, 63, 63A, 65, 65A, and 67, which collectively form a significant architectural ensemble with Nos 52 to 72 (even) and No 76 opposite, with Nos 67 and 52 to 68 (even) opposite being of local interest.
