Description
The water tower, built around 1875 for the Bournemouth and District Water Company, is made entirely of bright red brick and stands out in the Southbourne skyline. It features a plinth with roll moulding and narrow round-arched slits that are placed randomly on all sides. The tower has a machicolated cornice and battlements, along with corbelled corner tourelles topped with conical spirelets that appear to be covered with metal sheeting. The roof of the tower is hipped and tiled. It is located in Seafield Pleasure Gardens.
