Description
St Katherine's Church Hall was built in 1904-1905 by G A B Livesay and is designed in the Neo-William and Mary style. The building is constructed of red brick with stucco dressings. It features a canted forebuilding with a flat roof, adorned with balls on the raised parts of a wavy parapet. Above the doorway, there is a large segmental hood with dentils, supported by console brackets. The main hall has a round-arched brick window set in an open pediment, which also includes dentils. The flanks of the hall are accented by a continuous dentil cornice made of painted timber that breaks over the segmental heads of full-height windows. The roof slopes down low at the rear, and there is a hip-roofed service wing located to the north-east.
