Description
The Well House, including stables and an outhouse, is a pleasant Edwardian Arts and Crafts villa built in 1908. It has two storeys and is finished in roughcast, featuring a recessed centre between two gables. The ground level is highlighted by a flat-roofed porch and a large moulded cornice made of white timber with guttering. The gables display a pattern of four stucco diamonds. The building has retiled roofs and stucco chimneys with cornices. The windows are fitted with white timber mullions and leaded lights. The garden side features two similar gables that project unequally. There are much older brick stables to the east and an outhouse to the west at the front. The property is included for its group value with nearby buildings such as The Shutters, Rose Cottage, Quality and Tranquility, Laurel Cottage, Wick Farm Cottage, and Branders Cottage, which form a group around Wick Village green.
