Description
The Midland Bank, located at No. 15 on the High Street, is an Edwardian Baroque building. It is constructed of white stone and features a balustraded parapet, with the roof not visible. The building has a rounded southeastern corner that culminates in a dome, which is adorned with low relief carving. It is a single storey structure with three round arched windows that rise from a plinth with rusticated treatment. These windows are separated by engaged Tuscan pillars and are paired at each end of the building. The entrance at the southeast corner includes a draped blank plaque with swags above the door. The doorway features a dentil cornice, a segmental canopy, and an enriched stone architrave, along with panelled doors and a fanlight.
