Description
The two graveyards of the United Reform Church are located on opposite sides of Millhams Street. The graveyard on the north side, adjacent to the church, features a notable row of early 19th-century altar tombs positioned in front of the Sunday School. Seven of these tombs have fluted corner pilasters, with the earliest dating back to 1819, while another tomb displays round arches on its sides and dates to 1851. Additionally, there are other headstones in the Georgian style from around 1830 to 1850. The graveyard on the south side contains some tombstones that are now arranged against the rear walls. These graveyards occupy an important location at the angle of Millhams Street and are central to a group of listed buildings, including the United Reform Church, its attached Sunday Schools, The Cottage, and Nos 4 and 5.
