Yew Cottage is an 18th-century building located on the north side of Chewton Common Road. It features a roughcast facade over cob and has a thatched roof. The cottage is two storeys high and has two early 19th-century casement windows with glazing bars. There is a porch at the front, and the rear thatch extends down over a one-storey outshut along part of the north facade, which includes an additional entrance. Yew Cottage is part of a group with Yew Rose, Gorse, and Heath Cottages, as well as Nos 35, 35A, and 37, of which Rose and Gorse Cottages and No 37 are recognized as buildings of local interest.
