Description
The Full Moon Public House is a public house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble, with the front wall painted and a pantile roof. The building has a long, single-depth plan that slightly changes alignment after the first two bays and is extended with a lower range at the west end, all set to a raised pavement.
The exterior features three storeys and is nominally six bays wide. The windows are generally plain sash types set in reveals with heavy stone sills. The fourth bay has blocked windows above a pair of panelled doors, while the fifth bay has blocked windows on the first and second floors and no opening on the ground floor. The hipped left end covers a plain rubble wall, with a large brick stack located between the second and third bays, a small stack on the left gable, and another small stack made of stone and brick on the right. The lower range includes two sashes above a glazed door and a pair of plank doors, plus one additional sash.
The interior was not inspected as the building was closed at the time of inspection in 2003. The Full Moon Public House is included for its group value.
