Description

This house, dating to approximately 1800, is part of a row situated on Widcombe Hill. The construction utilizes coursed and squared rubble, with a slate and double Roman tile roof. The house has a single-depth layout and a prominent mansard roof, with lower slopes covered in slate. It is two storeys high with an attic. The facade features paired twelve-pane sash windows with original flush surrounds and sills. The upper floor has two windows, while the ground floor has paired windows. A flush six-panel door is located on the right side. The gables are coped, and there is a two-stage ashlar stack to the left. The rear elevation includes a single dormer window with twelve panes above two twelve-pane sashes. A slated lean-to and a deep, single-storey wing extend to the right. The interior remains uninspected. It is considered a representative example of the early development of the south-eastern part of Bath.
