Description

The tomb of the Rev. Edward Tottenham, who died in 1853, is a Gothic Revival chest tomb located in Abbey Cemetery. It is made of pennant stone and features a grey granite lid. The sides of the tomb have blind, trefoil-headed arcading. The Rev. Tottenham served as a Prebend of Wells and was the minister of the Laura Chapel in Tottenham. He was also the District Secretary of the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, known for his commitment to truth and opposition to false teachings. The tomb is situated in section VI.B.19.20.21 of the cemetery.
