Description

The Westall Tomb, located in Abbey Cemetery, is a Grade II listed neoclassical obelisk dedicated to William Westall, who died in 1853 at the age of 31. The tomb is made of marble and stands on a pedestal with a cavetto cornice. It features a relief of martial trophies accompanied by furled banners. Westall was the late assistant surgeon of the 94th Regiment, and the tomb was erected by his brother officers. It is situated in section VI.B.15.17 of the cemetery.
