Description
Nos. 77-87 on Bailbrook Lane are a row of five cottages built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature pantile roofs with moulded stacks at the party walls and gable ends, some of which have hand-thrown chimney pots. Each cottage is two storeys high and has a single window on the front. They all have flat hoods supported by stone brackets; the four cottages on the left have paired hoods, and all have 20th-century porches underneath. The cottages at Nos. 77 and 79 have late 19th-century horned two-over-two pane sash windows, while Nos. 81 and 83 have horned six-over-six pane sashes. The interiors have not been inspected. These cottages are included for their group value.
