Description

The monument to Thomas Day, located to the south of the porch of St. Peter's Church, is a chest tomb that dates from the 18th century, although it commemorates Day, who died in 1793. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features fielded panels, along with an inset and inscribed panel on the north-east side. The tomb has a moulded base and cornice.
