Description

This is a semi-detached house, built around 1830, forming the left-hand portion of an asymmetrical pair with number 47. The front facade is limestone ashlar, with rough ashlar to the left return. The building has a double-pitched roof, with moulded stacks to the gable ends. It is two storeys and a lower ground floor, with a two-window front. Pilasters flank the facade, rising to the cornice, and blind arches are incorporated into the ground floor. A sill band runs across the first floor, and there is a platband at the impost level of the ground floor. Late 19th-century plate glass sash windows have chamfered arrises. The right-hand door has stop-chamfered arrises and margin panes to a three-pane overlight, and a small window to the right. A balconette is above the window to the left. The basement area has been covered over. The property has cast iron railings and moulded gate piers. The interior has not been inspected.
