Description

Gerardene is a house dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, situated on the east side of High Street in Paulton. The house is constructed from squared coursed rubble with a concrete tile and pantile roof, featuring raised coped verges. It is three storeys high with a symmetrical facade of three windows. The windows are 2- and 3-light ogee-moulded mullion casements. The ground and first floor windows are positioned below a flush band, while those on the second floor are set below a thin cornice. A central 20th-century half-glazed door is set under a hood on brackets and moulded jambs. To the left of the entrance is a mid-19th century shop window with 12 panes. A lean-to addition is present at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
