Description

Eleven terrace houses, built in the early 19th century with later 19th and 20th-century additions, are situated on a slope, rising from number 1 to the left. The houses are constructed from limestone ashlar, mostly painted, and have double-pitched pantile roofs with moulded stacks to the left of each house. They follow a double-depth plan.

The houses are two storeys high with a one or two-window range. Stepped coped parapets rise to stacks at the coped gable ends, and the facades feature coved cornices and ground floor platbands. A door is positioned to the right of each house. Number 1 has a three/three-pane sash window to the first floor and a plate glass sash window to the ground floor, along with a four-panel door and overlight under a shallow stone hood supported by shaped brackets. Number 2 features paired plate glass sash windows to the first floor and a 20th-century five-panel door. Number 3 has paired two/two-pane sash windows to the first floor and a 20th-century door. Number 4 has six/six-pane sash windows in chamfered architraves, paired to the first floor, and a 20th-century door. Number 5 features a two/two-pane sash window with a balconette to the first floor over a plate glass sash, and a 20th-century door. Number 6 is similar, without the balconette. Number 7 includes eight/eight-pane sash windows with a balconette to the first floor and a half-glazed, late 19th-century four-panel door. Number 8 has a similar door, two/two-pane sash windows in chamfered architraves, and a 20th-century porch. Number 9 is similar, without the porch. Number 10 has a similar door and 20th-century horned eight/eight-pane sash windows. Number 11 has two/two-pane sash windows and a late 19th-century six-panel door with bolection moulding. The interiors have not been inspected.
