Description

This structure consists of a wall, piers, and gates located about 16 metres west of The Court in Stanton Drew. It dates from the mid-18th century, with 19th-century gates. The wall is made of limestone and sandstone rubble, topped with limestone coping, and measures approximately 1.5 metres high and 55 metres long. At each end of the wall, there are square piers about 2 metres high, featuring a cornice and a ball finial on the stem. To the left, the wall curves around to a similar pair of entrance piers. The gates are designed with spear heads on the lower rails and decorative scroll work.
