Description

No. 165 on High Street is a house that was originally part of a pair with No. 163. It dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and was altered and extended to the right in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed, squared rubble and has slate roofs with coped raised verges. It has two storeys and an attic, with a stone gable on the left side. The façade features three 16-pane glazing bar sash windows set in plain stone surrounds. The central entrance consists of a panelled door with an overlight, which is sheltered by a flat stone hood supported by brackets.
