Description

Park View is a row of six terrace houses built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed from limestone ashlar with pantile roofs. They are set back from and at a right angle to Lower Bristol Road, with gardens to the front and rear, and are located near the main railway line.

Each house is two storeys high and has one window to the front, with plain sash windows to stooled sills. There is a panelled door to the right of each window. Number 1 is slightly set back from the others and features two windows and a central door, all beneath a cornice, blocking course, and parapet. Each house has ashlar stacks on either side of the ridge. A gable at the far end has two four-pane windows on each level facing the rear, adjacent to Midland Road. Each house also has a small, single-storey service range with a mono-pitch roof.

The interiors have not been inspected, but the cottages appear to have been little modified externally and were originally designed as artisans' dwellings on back land.
