Description

No. 7, Lambridge is an early 19th-century house, part of a row constructed by 1819, which was remodelled around 1870. The house is built of limestone ashlar with a slate roof and moulded stacks to the coped gable ends. It has a double-depth plan. The exterior features plate glass sash windows. A tall attic storey has three half-dormers; the central dormer has a segmental pediment over a French window, while triangular pediments top the paired windows on either side. Two-storey canted bays flank the entrance bay and are connected by a stone balustrade, forming a balcony to the attic. The central space on the first floor contains a painted wood fretted arcade and balustrade to the French window. The central six-panel door, glazed to the top with a narrow overlight, has a Regency style trellised porch under the balcony, and this is believed to reflect the original appearance. The interior was not inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
