Description

8 and 9 Lambridge are a pair of early 19th century terrace houses, with alterations and extensions from the late 19th century. They were in existence by 1819. The houses are constructed of limestone ashlar with double-pitched slate roofs and a moulded stack to the left. They have a double-depth plan.

The frontages are two and three storeys, each house originally featuring a three-window arrangement. No. 8, on the left, has three storeys, the second floor being a later addition, topped by a cornice and parapet. It has six/six-pane sash windows with sill bands to the upper floors, a cornice and frieze to the first floor and a platband to the ground floor. The front door is a five-panel design with glazed upper sections. No. 9 is generally similar, presenting two storeys to the front but three storeys to a rear range. It also has a six-panel door with glazed upper sections. The interiors have not been inspected.
