Description

Hampton Hall is a house dating from the late 18th and early 19th centuries, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of ashlar and has a modern tiled roof hidden behind a parapet. The house is three storeys high with a basement. It originally had five bays, although the bay furthest to the right is slightly recessed. The two bays to the left of the house were added in the mid-19th century and feature a balustraded parapet and a two-storey bow window on the fourth bay. The windows are a mixture of large-pane sashes with segmental heads on the ground floor, and large-pane and glazing-bar sashes on the upper floors. All windows have moulded architraves and keystones, particularly noticeable on the two bays added in the mid-19th century. A projecting, single-storey ashlar porch was added in the mid-19th century to the right-hand side, featuring a panelled door.
