Description

Barton Cottage is a small house located at the north end of Barton Buildings, dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The building features painted render and a slate roof, which has a stack on the south gable end. The plan is double depth, with a 20th-century lean-to entrance range.

The exterior consists of two storeys, with a two-over-two pane sash window on the first floor of the west entrance front. There are two plate glass windows on each floor of the gable end, set in raised surrounds. The entrance has a 20th-century door. The interior has not been inspected.
