Description

Tun Bridge over the River Chew is a bridge that likely dates from the late 15th century and features restored parapets and copings. It is constructed of sandstone rubble, freestone, and limestone. The bridge spans approximately 20 metres and has a roadway that is about 4 metres wide. The parapet wall is topped with limestone coping and stands about one metre high. The structure includes three pointed arches and has two cutwaters with offsets on the west side, while the east side has one cutwater that rises to the level of the parapet and features a shallow basin at the top.
