Description
The stable and attached shelter sheds, located about 8 metres northwest of Park Farmhouse, date from the late 18th century and have undergone some alterations in the 20th century. They are constructed from sandstone rubble with pantiled roofs and stone ridges, and the former open-fronted shelter sheds have been closed off with 20th-century blockwork. The stable and sheds create a continuous range approximately 35 metres long. The stable is two storeys high and features two windows and a central door, all with segmental heads, along with two loading doors situated under the eaves. Inside, the roof is not accessible, but the four-bay interior includes loose boxes on the right and left, each equipped with a wooden manger and hay-rack at the rear. The single-storey sheds have three remaining doors, and the roof structure consists of a tie-beam, collar, two queen-posts, and one row of purlins, though it is not possible to count the number of bays. This building is part of a planned farmyard that is contemporary with Park Farmhouse.
