Description
Wick Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1721, which was remodeled in the 19th century. It is built from rubble with freestone dressings and has slate roofs with coped raised verges. The building is two storeys and has an L-plan layout with a projecting wing on the right and a rear wing. The facade features two windows plus one in the wing, which includes a mix of mid-19th century marginal glazing bar sashes, a two-light casement in the wing, and a three-light casement above the door, all set in ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds. The ground floor of the right wing and the rear wing also contain two-light casements and glazing bar sash windows, all under cambered heads. The entrance features a six-panel door within a solid porch. Wick Farmhouse was formerly part of the Popham estate, which was centered on the nearby Hunstrete House, now demolished.
