Description
Hill House is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubble, finely coursed on the main elevation, with freestone dressings and a concrete tile roof. The building has two storeys and features five sash windows set within moulded architraves. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door located beneath a triangular pediment supported by brackets. The façade is accented by long and short projecting quoins that rise to a dentilled cornice, and it has a low parapet with raised, coped verges. The rear of the house was altered and extended in the late 20th century, and while the interior has also been modified, the open well stair with turned balusters, wreath, and ramped handrail remains intact.
