EXTERIOR: Approx. 110m long and 3m high opposite No.13 Belmont (qv). The pavement rises gradually from three steps up at the right end, levels out to left of centre and meets the rising Lansdown Hill without steps at the left end. Steps with wrought iron railings down to the road in front of Nos. 6 and 7 and a C20 ramp in front of No.9. In the retaining wall are various doors and windows. HISTORY: A good example of this type of structure, with which Bath is exceptionally well provided, which uses contrasting local building stones to good effect.
