Description

This is a detached house located on Penn Hill Road in Weston. It dates from the early 19th century, although it may incorporate an earlier 18th-century structure, similar in style to other houses in Weston. The front facade is limestone ashlar, while the rest of the building is constructed of rubble stone, topped with a hipped slate roof and moulded stacks.

The house is arranged with a three-unit plan, and presents a symmetrical seven-window facade over three storeys. The design includes a coped parapet, returned cornice, a sill band to the second floor, and a platband to the ground floor. The windows are plate glass sashes without horns; the upper floors feature triple or wide tripartite windows, while the ground floor has paired windows flanking a semicircular arch and a simple fanlight above a six-raised and fielded panel front door. The left return has no windows, and the right return features a blocked door and a 20th-century window to the rear, in addition to 19th and 20th-century windows. The rear of the building also has 19th and 20th-century windows. The interior of the property has not been inspected.
