Description

6 and 8 Bath Place are an early 19th century terrace of three houses, forming part of a larger scheme that includes numbers 4 and 5. The three-storey and attic properties are stucco-fronted and have a modillion eaves cornice below slate roofs, with one dormer visible on numbers 6 and 7, featuring sashes and glazing bars. Each house originally had a three-light bay window, with number 7 being bowed. Numbers 6 and 8 no longer have a door on the right-hand side, unlike the others; number 8 also features decorative tiles between the storeys of the bay windows. The windows are largely replacements; number 7 has glazing bars, but its sashes are not original, while the others feature Victorian sashes or modern windows. All properties now have modern shopfronts. Numbers 4 to 8 form a group.
