Description
Nos 4 to 8 on Broadwater Street East are probably from the early 19th century. These two-storey buildings have painted render and slate roofs. They are arranged in two sections: the left section is lower and set back, featuring one sash window with glazing bars and a smaller window to the left. The right section has two Victorian-style sash windows. Each house has bracketed fascia boards, which may be from the Victorian period or later, but only No 6 has show windows and a door. In 1974, a single shop occupied the ground floor of all three houses. The rear wall, which overlooks the churchyard, appears to be older than the current houses, made of flint with some brick and including blocked openings. Nos 4 to 10 form a group.
