Description
Oldfield, formerly known as Colwell Cottage, is a house dated 1781 on the chimney stacks. It is an L-shaped building from the late 18th century, with a south wing constructed of red brick on the ground floor and tile hung on the first floor. The house features a tiled roof with end brick chimney stacks that display the date. It has two storeys and three windows, which include sashes and two-storey projecting bays at each end. The early 19th-century extension to the north is two storeys tall, made of brown brick with red brick window surrounds, and has 19th-century metal diamond panel casements. The entrance includes a simple door with a penticed hood. Further extensions to the north from the 20th century are not of special interest.
