Description
Bedlam Cottage is a 16th century timber-framed cottage that was refronted and extended in the early 19th century. The ground floor features red brick with grey headers, while the first floor and end elevations are tile hung. The cottage has a tiled roof with two end brick stacks, one of which is clustered. It stands two storeys high with attics and has three windows fitted with modern casements. The central doorcase includes six fielded panelled doors and a penticed tiled weather-hood supported by wooden brackets. To the north, there is a single-storey brown brick extension from the 19th century, which has a hipped tiled roof. The interior could not be inspected at the time of the survey, but it appears to contain an old planked door.
