Description

Gates and gatepiers adjoining the north front of Old Place, dating from around 1880, are constructed with two square brick piers featuring sandstone cornices and ball finials. Attached to these piers are elaborate iron gates adorned with scrollwork and intricate gilded wrought iron floral motifs. These features are part of C E Kempe's enhancements to Old Place.
