Description

Priory Cottage is a former hall-house that has been converted into two properties. It dates from the late 15th century or early 16th century and features a three-bay hall house design. The building was refronted in the 19th century and restored in the 20th century. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the first floor is plastered, with some square framing visible on the right side and diagonal braces on the left side. The roof is steeply pitched, hipped, and tiled, with gablets and an inserted brick chimney stack located behind the ridge. The cottage has two storeys and includes three modern casement windows, along with two canted bays on the ground floor. The doorcases are simple, featuring flat hoods on the side elevations.
