Description

74 and 76 High Street are late 18th-century buildings that stand two stories tall with an attic. They are constructed of brick that has been painted white and feature three windows. The central entrance is an eight-panel door topped by a fan of diagonally arranged diamond-shaped lights. To the right, there is a modern shop front and a new entrance. The windows have reveals and retain their glazing bars. A dentilled cornice adorns the top of the building, and it has a tiled roof with three 19th-century dormers. These buildings are part of a group that includes Ye Dorset Arms Hotel, Dorset House, Nos 66 to 76 (even), Cromwell House, and Nos 82 to 88 (even).
