Description

The building at 51 and 53 High Street is a two-storey structure dating to the early 19th century. It features sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor, and a three-light sash window without glazing bars on the ground floor. An early 19th century style trellis porch is present at ground level, along with a copy of an early 19th century shop front, notable for its interlaced semi-circular headed glazing bars above the transom, fluted pilasters, and paterae. A timber-framed wing, visible at the rear, overlooks the churchyard. The building retains a fine original brick stack with pilasters and is roofed with old tiles.
