Description
Abbotts Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier L-shaped timber-framed building located on Wiston Hole Street. The back of the north wing features exposed timbering with stone rubble infilling, while the front has been refaced in the 18th century with grey headers, dressings, and vertical strips of red brick. The building has a slate roof and sash windows with intact glazing bars. There is a doorway with a flat hood supported by brackets. The west wing is faced with flints, has brick dressings and quoins, and features a tile-hung gable end with casement windows. A massive stepped chimney breast made of red brick is located at the center of the east front, and another chimney of stone rubble is found on the south front. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four windows.
