Description
Goldwell Farmhouse is an L-shaped building located on Tenterden Road in Biddenden. The north wing dates from the 17th century or earlier and features a timber frame that has been refaced with painted red brick on the ground floor, while the upper part is tile hung. The farmhouse has two storeys and attics, topped with a tiled roof that includes one dormer. It has two casement windows and an 18th-century door with six fielded panels, which likely originated from a town as it is marked with the number 18.
The east-west wing of the farmhouse is from the 18th century and also has two storeys. The ground floor is made of red brick, with tile hanging above. It features a tiled roof, three sash windows with intact glazing bars, and a doorcase surrounded by a moulded architrave with a flat hood above, leading to a six-panelled door. There is a brick chimney breast on the east wall.
