Description

46 and 47 Petworth Road are a pair of cottages located in Boxgrove, built in the mid-19th century and known locally as Duchess Cottages. They feature a half-H type plan and stand two storeys tall with four windows. The exterior is constructed from coursed flints, accented with dressings, quoins, a string course, and dripstones above the windows, which are made of old brick and grey headers. The cottages have a tiled roof and casement windows, with the outer window bays projecting and topped with gables.
