Description

Halnaker House is an L-shaped building dating from 1777. It has two storeys and features six windows. The east wing is faced with flints and has red brick dressings, quoins, and a string course. The south wing is made of red brick and is of a taller elevation. The building has a tiled roof, and the glazing bars are intact throughout. It was built for Lady Sarah Lennox, the daughter of the Duke of Richmond, who later became Lady Sarah Napier, and was the object of George III's youthful affection.
