Description
The stable block to the former Swan Inn dates from the 18th to early 19th century. It was originally used as stables for the Swan Inn, which was located on the north side of East Street. At the time of listing in 1971, it contained storerooms, which have since been converted to retail use. The building consists of two sections, featuring red tiled hipped roofs with tiled ridges and a brick dentilled cornice below the eaves. It is two storeys high, with four small glazed openings on the second storey and two wooden boarded doors. The ground floor has four original semi-circular windows and four doors, one of which is modern.
