Description

36 Southgate is an 18th-century house of three storeys and three windows. It has a hipped tiled roof with stacks at either end. The exterior is stuccoed, featuring a small brick dentilled eaves cornice. The second-floor sash windows retain their original glazing bars and are set within flush boxes. Glazing bars are missing from the first-floor windows, which are also sash windows in reveals. A stuccoed porch was added later, but it contains the original six-panelled door, with the top two panels cut away and glazed. Nos 36 to 42 Southgate form a group.
