Description
No 38 on Southgate is a late 18th-century building that forms part of a continuous range with No 36 and No 37. It has a similar frontage to No 37 and stands three storeys high with a basement. The second floor features two sash windows set in reveals, although the glazing bars are missing. There is a three-light canted bay window that projects from the ground and first floors, also with sash windows. The entrance is accessed by four steps and is framed by Doric pilasters, topped with a pediment and a semi-circular fanlight. The door is a six-panel moulded design. Nos 36 to 42 are part of a group.
