Description
St Martin's Hall, formerly a Congregational Church, dates from the 18th to early 19th century. It features a tiled gabled roof with the gable end facing the street, a moulded cornice, and a blocking course. The building is two storeys high and has a cemented exterior. The first floor displays long and short quoins, a stringcourse beneath it, and pilasters on a plinth below. There is one tall window with a wide pointed arch, complete with a drip mould and chamfered jambs. On the ground floor, there are two smaller windows of a similar design, one on either side of the doorway. The doorway itself is similarly shaped, with a drip mould over it, chamfered jambs, an advertisement in the tympanum, and a wooden boarded door.
