Description

19-23 The Steyne is a mid-19th century building located on the west side of The Steyne. It is two storeys high and has a stuccoed exterior. Each unit features two-storey, three-light bay windows, while No 23 also includes a single window. The doorway of No 19 has been modified and is recessed. Nos 21 and 23 have grooved architraves on their doors, with No 21 having a five-panel door, the top panel of which is glazed, and No 23 featuring a modern door. The windows of No 19 have been altered to modern styles, while the other units retain sash windows. This group of buildings, which includes Nos 9 to 17, Sailsbury House, and Steyne Hall, forms an uninterrupted sequence.
