Description
The building is a chapel, now used as a store, located 100 yards northwest of Hoe Place, dating from around 1850. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and some terracotta, featuring plain tiled roofs that are hipped over the tower. The chapel is designed in a Gothic style and consists of seven bays with a symmetrical front. There are seven windows on the front, displaying panelled tracery with some surviving stained glass, and two-light windows on the first floor with trefoil cusping on the arched heads. A diamond pattern frieze runs along the top, complemented by billeted parapets. The central part of the front has arched glazed doors. To the right, there is a three-storey tower with a polygonal turret at the south angle, featuring a terracotta frieze and a billeted parapet at the top. The tower has mixed fenestration, including a ground floor thermal window and traceried windows with hood mouldings on the first and second floors. There is also a single-storey bay to the right, which has an angle turret and billet mouldings on the battlements.
